A Survmaster system comprises the main tripmeter head with or without the plugging in kit plus a sensor (pickup sender) of the most appropriate type for your vehicle fitted to that vehicle. The installation is calibrated against an accurateThe Survmaster3 PC model features two backlit LCD readouts with controls to Freeze, Reset to zero, Hold readout whilst continuing to measure, Reverse count direction, Preset or Amend the readout figures.measured reference distance (usually one kilometre, but the system can just as easily be calibrated to read in miles). The readouts show distance travelled to three decimal places with a potential accuracy of one part in a thousand. Full fitting and operating instructions can be found in the 'support' section in the menu above.
This PC model also has a RS232 port connection which can send the readout information to a computer running either your own custom data collection program, or the free program which can be downloaded from the 'support' page in the menu above. The standard Survmaster 3 model is identical to the above PC model, but is not fitted with the RS232 port.
Also available is the Survmaster VIDEO model which connects between a movie camera and a video recorder via the phono sockets on the base of the instrument. Distance readouts from the Survmaster are superimposed onto the video signal for recording.
The Survmaster2 model has two high quality 15mm red LED readouts measuring roads to one metre accuracy and has facilities to Zero either readout, Freeze the top readout figure and measure forwards or reverse the count direction.
The top readout can be shifted to 'long distance' mode so that it reads in the 99.99 format instead of the 9.999 format. Readouts will of course roll over after they reach the 9999 figure. The build quality of these instruments ensures that they will tolerate adverse handling situations such as are likely to be encountered on rough roads.
The Survmaster Compact tripmeter has been designed to occupy a very small amount of space 119mmx50mmx30mm. The instrument has two measurement recorders which are in the format 999.999 but are displayed via a single backlit four digit LCD window. Count direction is forwards or backwards.
The Survmaster1 odometer has all the accuracy of the number two model, but with only one readout (which can shift its decimal point placing) there is a facility for Zeroing the readout and for counting forwards or backwards.
